Commuter

A Commuter bus is a type of bus used on shorter-distance public transport bus services. The chassis is built for short and long distance travel with its standard safety features. The suspension caters for the comfort of passengers whilst durable enough to enable the bus to accommodate boarding and alighting of passengers at the curb side on rural roads. The chassis makes for easy body building fitments, with body and chassis configurations to allow for maximum seating of 66 passengers with standees and luggage.

Engine options range from 230 Hp to 300 Hp with both Automatic and Manual transmission, with electronic diesel control is the heart of the chassis, offering common rail injection systems. In addition to a notably quiet operation complemented by efficient engine cooling for peak performance in all operating conditions, flat engine torque ensures higher pulling power and low gear shifts.

City

Developed for city services, the O 500 U 1826 chassis (low entry), which incorporates all the benefits of Mercedes-Benz technology- is a robust and highly durable vehicle suited to the most severe operating service conditions. It was developed for bodies up to 13.2 meters long. The O 500 U 1826 chassis provides maximum passenger comfort and safety thanks to its front and central sections levelled at 370 mm above the ground, to its full air suspension, to its left and right (optional) side kneeling function and to its automatic transmission with integrated retarder. The OM 926 LA BlueTec 5 (Euro 5) electronically managed engine features a new output ratio (256 Hp), which gives it superior performance in intense high volume city traffic. Thanks to these features, the O 500 U 1826 chassis fully meets today’s passenger transport demands.
